Role Description:

- Looking someone experienced in setting up processes and methodologies in an Agile environment: in other words, we are looking for someone with a good conceptual/theoretical foundation.

- Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

- Reviews engineering requirements and design.

- Develops test plans from specifications documents, and implements test plan against staging and production platforms.

- Designs and develops automated functional and performance test scripts and tools to validate functionality.

- Oversees black box and automated regression testing and analysis of results.

- Ensures the inclusion of white box testing including code inspection and program proving, and may oversee these activities.

- Documents and tracks test results and ensure systems are fully tested and approved before implementation.

- Develops the process and database for reporting defects.

- Oversees ongoing maintenance management of the defects database.

- Develops and improves processes for ensuring the quality of work at different stages of the SDLC.

- Develops and uses metrics for monitoring and improving both the quality of software evaluated and of the work of the QA department itself.

- Develops test plan for testing product enhancements under development.

- Develops, reviews and/or executes test cases in accordance with test plans.

- Establishes and manages proper and well-understood test environments and test beds that are readily activated, rolled back and utilised as needed.
