Extreme Processing Group, part of the High Performance Computing Centre of Excellence in Cognizant Global Technology Office is hiring!

 

We are looking for candidates with strong computer science fundamentals, especially in networks, operating systems and distributed systems. The ideal candidate must have a Bachelors or a Masters (preferred) from one of the premier institutes in India or abroad, with strong academics. He/She must have at least 2 years experience in product organizations (can be lowered for exceptional candidates) with very good background in developing system side software and must have been involved in complete software development life-cycle including analysis, design, coding and testing. The candidate must be an expert coder in at least one programming language (preferably non-Java) with comprehensive experience in development of large code bases. The ideal candidate must have contributed to some open source coding projects.

The candidate will get to work with leading researchers in the cloud computing area and will be involved in design and development of solid systems building initiatives in the GTO, with opportunities to even contribute to the conceptualization of new ideas, systems and applications. The GTO is at the forefront of R&D for Cognizant, being the technology leadership group and is involved with many leading clients in the enterprise space. The group has some very strong system side development initiatives involving cutting technologies such as Hadoop, LexisNexis, MongoDB, Riak, Cassandra etc.

The GTO is spread across several locations in India including Chennai, Bangalore, Kolkata and Delhi - so, you can indicate your location preference.
